Born in Brooklyn and now living in San Jose, Fonz Morris is an entrepreneur and self-taught designer. During his career, he has worked in tech and design for the world's most respected and innovative companies but has remained committed to self-driven education and mentorship. Since 2020, Fonz Morris has been a Lead Product Designer at Netflix. In his previous role at Coursera, he led the Growth design team.

He is a three-time start-up founder and now venture capital investor. Early in his career, the Lomax family acquired his first startup, one of the few Black family investing offices in the United States. This acquisition allowed him to transition into building innovative game-changing products.

As a passionate advocate for self-taught designers and entrepreneurs, he mentors students through the California College of the Arts UX Design Bootcamp, Netflix Pathways Program, BVCC and General Assembly's UX Design Bootcamp. As a speaker, he has spoken at AfroTech, HOW Design LIVE, Rethink, Made In The Future, and State of Black Design. He advises and consults entrepreneurs and innovators at First Round, Floodgate, and Signalfire. Additionally, he attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education program and the BLCK VC Bridging Ventures Institute.
