Kevin M. Hoffman

KEVIN M. HOFFMAN has contributed to a better web from all three sides of the fence. After a decade of serving higher education institutions as a web team of one, he now puts those internet street smarts to use as the Experience Director at Happy Cog, the web design agency behind websites like Zappos, the MTV O Music Awards, the W3C, and many more. He also has extensive experience as an educator, having both taught and developed curricula in web design, code, and strategy for MICA and the University of Baltimore.

More recently, Kevin has spoken all over the world at conferences like SXSW, UX London, the IA Summit, and UI about applying user experience design principles to the way we work. You can read his thoughts about designing better work interactions at A List Apart, UX Booth, .net Magazine, and Happy Cog's blog, Cognition.

In his spare time, he hosts karaoke competitions as his alter ego Keyboard Man, who is an award-winning party designer that believes the key to all great performances is heart, and nothing more.
